Altari mu (알타리무) is a type of Korean radish. Because of its phallic shape, it’s also referred to as chonggak mu (총각무), which translates to “bachelor radish.”
Kimchi made with this radish is chonggak kimchi.
I thought that the crunch of the radish would provide interesting texture as a hotdog topping – part of my kimchi hotdog series (see previously 8.146 Continental Kimchi Dogs).

Crunchy, yes, but unfortunately a bit too bitter, even when mixed with mayo.
The sausages were also not that great: salty, not much flavor.
65% less fat -> 65% less flavor 😦
