EK, RK, and the new intern

EK is in town for a few weeks.  The welcome back dinner last week should’ve been at Tao Yuan, but logistical difficulties forced us elsewhere (see 10.271 Chadol Jjamppong).  EK had faithfully and enthusiastically supported the TEITY campaign, attending 16 of 36 meals (see 6.095 Done).  If anyone comes close to appreciating Tao Yuan as much as I do, it would be EK.

The food was better than ever.  While the dishes remained essentially the same, the recipes had been tweaked and the techniques had been refined towards slight yet significant improvements.  EK and I both took immediate notice.

Even the already perfect white pepper sauce – now darker in color – was a touch richer.  And the lobster came with eggs, which were soft and sweet, adding another layer of flavor and texture.
