Nikkei Nama Bar is a Japanese-Peruvian restaurant. Off-shoot of the ever-growing Nikkei family (see generally 8.362 Nigiri Set). Just opened in BGC.
With fond memories of her visit to the original location in Makati – my recollection was less favorable (see 9.280 Classic Ceviche) – W insisted on trying out the new place closer to home.
The food wasn’t all that bad per se. But overly thought out, and yet not thoroughly thought out. Trying too hard. Much ado about nothing. All style, no substance. Comically tragic. So, in the end, kinda bad.
