Having lived in Manila for nearly 5 five years, 2 years with my family, I’ve earned the right to call myself a Manilan/Manileño, at least in part.
But I don’t know if ever I’ll achieve full Filipinohood by embracing Jollibee, as I’ve tried to do in vain since my earliest days in the country.
