Mission to Tunisia, Day 4 of 6.
- Day 1 (10.168 Mini Sliders)
- Day 2 (10.169 Couscous with Grouper)
- Day 3 (10.170 Brik)
In Tunis. Attending the First Meeting of the Regional Parliamentary Forum for Health and Well-Being in the Eastern Mediterranean Region, 24 (Mon) to 26 (Wed) August – the official launch of the forum that our office had helped set up last year (see generally 9.332 Kibbeh Nayeh). Very gratifying and exciting that parliamentarian engagement is spreading across the Organization, with the Western Pacific Region leading the way.
Day 2 and Day 3 at the WHO country office.
Once again, dinner in my room. There was a hospitality event for meeting participants, but I had to work, so I declined to attend.
Chorba frik is a North African soup (chorba). Consists of crushed green barley (frik) in a thickish tomato-based broth with onions, garlic, chickpeas, and meat – usually lamb or chicken.
It was okay – tasted like a thickish tomato-based broth with onions, garlic, chickpeas, and lamb.
