Saewoo Ggang (새우깡) is a Korean cracker product by Nongshim.  Based on the shrimp chimps from Japanese producer Calbee, the brand was launched in 1971, now one of Korea’s most iconic snacks.  According to the US website: “Shrimp Crackers are shaped like crunchy French fries with narrow ripples. They are ‘hot, salted and fried’ and are made from fresh flour and ground shrimp. You will enjoy the fresh scent of the ocean and the delicious taste of this product.”

To mark the 40th anniversary last year, the company released Saewoo Ggang Black.  The chips are a bit wider, also somewhat denser in composition.  The black truffle flavor kinda works, pairing reasonably well with the salty shrimpiness.

I prefer the standard, which are just fine as is.
