After covering Okcheon Jeontong Naeng Myeon as part of a broader survey of the MNM restaurants in Okcheon (see generally OKPWMC), ranked 2nd, it’s since become my go-to destination whenever I’m in the neighborhood. The MNM falls a bit short – incidentally, the yellowish cloud circling the broth in the featured photo is liquid mustard, which hasn’t yet been stirred – but the pyeonyuk muchim can’t be beat – in fact, the dish is unique to this place. Also, the wanja are sold in smaller portions, more amenable to solo dining.
On my way to the cabin for a day trip to take care of a few things, I dropped by Okcheon Jeontong Naeng Myeon for lunch. I purchased extra portions of the wanja to eat for dinner at home.
