Better Signature Burger is a new item at NBB.  Features a plant-based patty.  Toppings otherwise standard.

In retrospect, I can see that I was duped into ordering it.  On the ordering kiosk, it’s the first thing at the top of the screen.  The name is clearly intended not to reveal the burger’s plant-based nature (see for comparison 12.050 Plant Whopper), suggesting instead a premium version of their basic NBB Signature Burger.  An additional click on a small “ingredients” icon in the corner reveals the fine print.  What a scam.

Meh.  At first bite, I noticed that the “meat” was oddly dry and crumbly.  Taking a closer look, I realized that the patty was clearly not meat.  I finished the burger, which wasn’t terrible per se, just thoroughly joyless.
