As both a thank-you to DCC for collaborating on our winter open house sale (see generally 15.309 Budae Jjigae) and an informal year-end company party, I invited staff to an impromptu gathering branded (by me) as “BBB Happy Hour”: beer / burger / board games.  Only 12 (out of 28) showed up, including me and W, and yet the tab came out to 526,000 won.

Every Thursday at DCC is “Drink and Draw Night,” where customers buy a beverage and sit together at a table to draw on a common theme (see frame left).  

Arriving at 6pm, staying until 9pm (originally proposed to end at 8pm), the main topic of conversation was the departure of SYJ, director of sales, who had been with the company since 1995 and ended his tenure last Friday.  I won’t go into details here, just to say that he was not an asset – my biggest accomplishment thus far was to convince ownership that he needed to go.  Didn’t think it would happen so fast, but everyone is relieved that it did.
