Try Every Rice Dish at Shanghai (see TERDS)
In the Korean-Chinese tradition, the samseon version of any dish comes with seafood – technically, at least 3 types of seafood, as “sam = 3” + “seon = fresh.”
However, the samseon fried rice here only had shrimp + squid. Coulda tossed in artificial crab meat, which features in the standard bokkeumbap (see 16.099 Bokkeumbap), to fulfill the promise of 3. In fact, their samseon jjambbong usually comes with 5: shrimp + octopus + squid + clams + fish (see for example 14.265 Samseon Jjambbong).
Anyway, didn’t matter, given the side of jjajang sauce, the ultimate equalizer in all Korean-Chinese fried rices.
