Though underwhelmed by the kal guksu here a few years ago (see 12.013 Kal Guksu), I wanted something brothy and spicy, and near and quick, while waiting for my glasses next door.

And perhaps more roughly cut, for better contrasting textures.

My impression this time was much more favorable.  Starting with the noodles, which weren’t overcooked and felt firmer to the chew.  The broth was probably exactly the same, but it was just what I needed.  The price has since increased to 7,000.
