The dish was intended as comfort food for DJ, who’d come home yesterday on winter break (see generally 16.350 Galbi Tang), but he wouldn’t wake up (jet lag).

I’d asked W to buy sujebi, meaning pre-made sujebi, but she bought sujebi flour, which I invited her to make.

Under W’s clumsy hand, the sujebi turned out as uneven chunks of dough (rather than flakes) – thicker pieces weren’t cooked through by the time thinner pieces were beginning to fall apart.
