Bagel Sandwich with Turkey & Provolone

The bagel was over 9 months old, stored semi-frozen in the back of the meat compartment of the fridge.  It looked okay, so I popped it in the toaster for a couple minutes and nibbled a tiny piece, which seemed okay.  I didn’t suffer any ill effect the following day.  I don’t know if bagels have some property of longevity or if the bakery at E-Mart, where I’d bought it in May 2011, uses a lot of preservatives.

I still have three of them left.
