This was my way of maintaining balance.
I wanted to do the right thing by eating something nutritious/natural/light for dinner. At the food court in our local E-Mart, bibimbab is about the only item fitting that description. And it’s reasonably good. So I got one.

However, recognizing that it wouldn’t tide me over until bedtime – I tend to sleep around 0200, more than 6 hours away at that point – I knew that I’d need a little something extra to get me through the night. Otherwise, I’d find myself making a something like a pork belly sandwich at midnight. I suppose that I could’ve had another bowl of bibimbab, but that would’ve been dumb. Fortunately, the food court also has McDonald’s, which offers the McDouble, not exactly nutritious/natural/light but certainly a little something extra.
