As per my travel SOP, I had mul naeng myeon for dinner, the evening before flying off to China – more on that tomorrow.

My cousin KW is in town.

The occasion provided an opportunity to introduce him to a Korean food that he’d never tried.  He’s half northern through his mother, my father’s sister, so taking him to taste the north’s most iconic dish, my favorite, was a moral imperative.

He deemed the food to be delicious.
