Chili Lime Shrimp Tacos

Home for the Holidays, Day 9 (see previously 7.357 La Langoustine de Jéju)

In Seoul. Winter break. Going back to Manila on the 31st — can hardly wait.

Opposite of the Ajeossi Bellwether Standard (see most recently 7.198 The Best MNM …): chickfest, typically suggests style over substance.

My birthday is the one day a year that I have discretion over my father as to dinner venue.

Kimchi Carnitas Fries (1.5) : once rated 4.0, it just wasn’t what it used to be, maybe different kimchi, different formulation of sauce, but also the fries themselves were kinda greasy — we barely touched it.

First time at this newest location.

For whatever reason, Vatos has lost its mojo. From a small back alley joint where the owner had made the tacos himself, the ever-expanding chain has failed to maintain the same level of excellence. Another restaurant, another fall from grace. Oh well.
