at Istanbul Ataturk Airport – Turkish Airlines Lounge

Mission to HQ, Day 7 (see previously 8.051 Fresh Herbed Grilled Baby Chicken).

On my way back home.  Was in Geneva to attend a Scoping Meeting on the Ethics of Vector-Borne Diseases – Thu to Fri.

The nicest business class lounge that I’ve had the privilege to enjoy.
And not only the decor, but also the bounty and variety of fresh, healthy, delicious food.

Right here is where I would insert a photo of the self-service bar – one of many scattered throughout the lounge.  Surprising that I didn’t take such a photo.  Rest assured, it’s quite satisfactory.

With just this, I could do without any meat – at least for a single meal.
On the in-bound leg of this journey, I made a quip about the in-flight server dressed in chef’s whites: “… a bit over-the-top – we know that she’s not actually cooking the food in a kitchen somewhere in the back of the plane.” Here, he’s actually cooking the food right there in the middle of the business lounge.

As always, I am grateful for and respectful of the opportunity to travel internationally, whether for fun or for work, especially via business class (see BEST IN FLIGHT), including airport lounge access (see in BEST IN LOUNGE).

Yet another meal, en route to Manila …
