Another dish made for the primary purpose of using up cilantro (see generally 12.161 783 Grams of Cilantro) – this was the last of it.

The mise en place for about 10 servings (5 cups) of fried rice; in addition to cilantro, I also had a lot of ripe kimchi.

Unlike prior applications, which go naturally with cilantro (e.g., Mexican, Indian dishes), I tried the cilantro in kimchi fried rice, which traditionally wouldn’t include cilantro – Korean food generally doesn’t use cilantro.  In the same fusion spirit, I also added pickled jalapeños.

Most of the cilantro was added during the stir-fry, a final handful scattered over the completed dish as garnish.

It worked, sorta.  But the cilantro or the jalapeños didn’t really do much to elevate or reinvent the dish.

W and the Boyz were thoroughly glad to hear that the cilantro was finished.

Another batch is probably now ready for picking.
