When making burgers recently, I’ve been experimenting to use dinner rolls, which offer (close) texture and (similar) taste, while being more manageable in size and more available than standard burger buns (see for example 15.117 Oklahoma Onion Smashburgers).

Separately, I’ve noted that the type of bread tends to define whether an item is a sandwich or a burger (13.066 Chicken Burger).

But here, even with the burger-style rolls, they still felt more like sandwiches.
