As part of my efforts to enhance the company’s branding, I’ve been engaging with English-language newspapers to encourage them to publish more content relating to books, specifically K-Lit titles, preferably K-Lit titles sold by us.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Today, the Joongang Daily interviewed Korean science fiction author Bae Myung-hoon.  The venue, as suggested by the journalist and eagerly accepted by me, was at our office, which seemed like an ideal location for such a thing.

Our conference room.
His latest book to be translated into English: The Proposal.

The photographer went to great lengths to set up creative shots – the author was a good sport and did everything asked of him.

DINNER

While bland in itself – as has been every plate of gambas al ajillo that I’ve encountered in Korea thus far (see for example 14.147 Cebuche de Privera), other than my own rendition (see 12.343 Gambas al Ajillo (with recipe)) – the anchovy added a tiny punch of flavor.

Here, the whole bits were effective only every few random bites.

I might consider trying it, though perhaps to sauté the anchovies earlier on, allowing them to melt and infuse the oil more thoroughly.
