Chicken Tacos

at Taco Minor

-Seongsu, Seongdong, Seoul, Republic of Korea-

with TB

In collaboration with Seoul Silent Book Club (see generally 16.014 Chicken Sandwich), we hosted the inaugural Shop, Swap, Sip & Read this afternoon at our headquarters.

SHOP (warehouse) – most of the action was in the adult fiction/non-fiction area.
SWAP (lobby) – about half the books were donated by us (damages).
SIP & READ (rooftop) – perfect weather: 15 degrees, slightly breezy, sunny (white people love sunlight).

By all accounts, the event was a success.

We look forward to doing another one in conjunction with our main warehouse sale in May.

Suntory Premium Highball Hakushu – mug purchased at Berkeley (see generally 15.182 Top).

Afterwards, I went out to dinner with TB from Honford Star (see most recently 16.050 Shrimp Rosé Pasta).

On the way to the restaurant, I was lamenting about the rise in crappy taco/burrito shops around Seoul that clearly have no idea what they’re doing, when he mentioned a poor experience at a Loco Taco near his home.  I stopped in my tracks and said, “Man, have I got a Loco Taco story for you” (see 14.152 (“Korean-Style”) Chicken Burrito (Hold Pepperoni) (Add Cheese)).

Interestingly, the prior business that occupied the space had covered up the windows with signage (see for comparison 14.235 Samseon Jjambbong); incidentally, the Korean-Chinese joint underneath, which used to be my favorite near work, has recently changed ownership and name, undetermined whether the food remains the same.

And then for beers at Yamong Yamong.

Will cover this place more in a future post….

And then for whiskies at Docent.
