Spent the day at YISS, primarily to oversee set-up of the spring book fair.
By coincidence, the school had scheduled a visit by author James Rhee today, so we were available to support a book signing session after the presentation.
Matddeul Ddeokbokki is a Korean restaurant. Specializes in street food. Would seem to be part of a franchise (signage says “Wirye Branch”) but maybe not (Naver only shows this location).
Come to think of it, perhaps the addition of “Wirye Branch” to the signage was intended to make people believe that the business is in fact part of a franchise. MtG thinks that most people these days consider franchises to be symbols of consistency and quality.
Coming home early after work, I dropped by the plaza in search of a snack and found this place. Very happy to find another venue that offers this kind of fare, only the second one in Wirye that I know of that’s currently in business (see also 15.095 Ssal Eomuk + (Cup) Ddeokbokki).
Franchise or not, the food was pretty good.
