For about 2 days, I tried the keto diet – wherein around 70% of calories derive from fat + 20% protein + 10% carbohydrates – but gave up upon quickly realizing (a) how such a diet is virtually impossible to maintain in Korea, especially at lunch time at work, when 99% of options involve rice or noodles, and (b) how eating so much fat can feel icky.
In the lead-up, I had purchased several tubs of Greek yogurt, understanding it to be keto friendly, but only if full fat. When I got home and read the label, I saw that the product is nonfat, thus keto unfriendly.

Compote is a European dessert. Large chunks of fruit, simmered in water, seasoned with sugar and spices, resulting in a thick syrup.
