As anticipated yesterday (16.246 Garlic (Lactic Acid Bacteria) Bread (With Chicken Soup)), this bread is perfect for sub sandwiches.  The neutral flavor allows for the main components to take center stage.  The squishy texture is pleasing to nosh, while the chewy/resilient crust holds everything together.

While the featured photo doesn’t show bacon (it’s underneath the ham), this photo of the mis-en-place doesn’t show ham (last minute addition).

BLT(CHP) = bacon + lettuce + tomato (+ cheese + ham + pickle) with a dressing of mayo + mustard + sriracha.  Not that I’d intended to make such a monster sandwich but realized while assembling it that ham and cheese were sitting around the fridge that needed to be used.  Had I thought it through, I would’ve gone with just ham and cheese from the outset, forget the bacon.  In any event, the bread was up to the challenge.
