Try Every Rice Dish at Shanghai (see TERDS)

As described in a prior post: “Gesal Bokkeumbap is fried rice topped with crab (gesal).  With the inevitable jjajang sauce on the side, it ends up tasting like every other kind of fried rice – i.e., jjajang.”  Substitute “crab/gesal” with “shrimp/saewu.”

Saewu Bokkeumbap is the last of the fried rice + jjajang group.

Samseon Jjambbong – in addition to eating it before travel (see most recently 16.276 Omurice), I should also make it a practice to eat jjambbong immediately upon my return (see for example 16.204 Haemul Jjambbong).

Returning from Indonesia early this morning (see generally 16.288 Fried Chicken Nusantara (Quarter Chicken Package)), I spent the day sleeping.

Upon waking at dinnertime, I craved broth, so I ordered jjambbong, and a side of shrimp fried rice (if only to advance TERDS).

Inspired by Indonesia, I made a quasi sambal.

The shrimp fried rice, which comes with 6 tiny shrimp, costs 2,000 more than the standard fried rice – not worth it.
