Bbyong eui Jeonseol is a Korean-Chinese restaurant.  Specializes in jjambbong with hand-pulled noodles.  The name appears to mean “The Legend (jeonseol) of (eui) Jjambbong (bbyong),” where “bbyong,” generally an onomatopoeia used to connote emphasis (e.g., like “zing!”), is presumably used here as a pun for jjambbong.

Located 295 m from Dandae Ogeori Station (exit 2).

Arriving from Taipei late last night, the first order of business this morning was to retrieve Louis Le Pieux from the dog hotel.  On the way, I stopped at the restaurant for an early lunch – I’d discovered the place while looking for a dinner venue on the way to dropping LLP off before the trip to Taipei (see generally 16.199 Bossam).

Of 20 menu options, 10 are variations on jjambbong.

The jjambbong was okay.  The hand-pulled noodles (sutamyeon), which I haven’t encountered in nearly 2 years (see most recently 14.250 Samseon Jjambbong), were good.  The broth was kinda bland.  The seafood toppings were kinda skimpy, mostly oysters and a handful of what appeared to be bits of shellfish from a frozen package.  But overall a nice refresher for my first meal back home.

Pleasingly uneven noodles.
