Uburr is an Italian restaurant. According to the front signage, it’s a “Korean Grill Dining Bar,” or, according to the menu heading, a “Korean Steak Haus.” In any case, the menu specializes in dishes made with hanwoo, mostly steaks and pastas.

Located 569 m from Namwirye Station (Exit 3).

Decent selection, though predictably pricy.

Whereas “u/woo (우)” (e.g., hanwoo) derives from the Chinese character for cow/beef, I suspect that the name of the restaurant in Korean (우브르) is a play on “oeuvre,” but they didn’t bother checking to verify the English spelling, hence “Uburr.”

Menus these days seem to prefer the generic term “pasta” rather than specifying the type of pasta, which is almost always spaghetti, as if they want to keep their options open in case they need to substitute, like linguine.

Though quite pricy, even for dishes not involving hanwoo (e.g., 26,000 for vongole pasta – vs 16,000 at Awesome (see for comparison 16.075 Salchisal (Chuck Tail Flap) Steak), I was pleasantly surprised to find a few items on the menu not typically offered at Italian restaurants, such as grilled octopus and meatballs.
