Over the years, I’ve dropped by this place on occasion for mandu, always as a quick snack, often consumed on the go or standing in front of the shop (see for example 13.252 Kimchi Mandu).

Since my first visit it 2022, the price of the basic gogi/kimchi mandu has gone up from 4,500 to 5,000 (mandu guk from 7,000 to 8,000).

Though barely visible from the street, the restaurant has a dining area in the back.

When I asked the owner whether they serve beer, she said no (no liquor license) but offered me one from her personal stash.  Sold!

At the very reasonable price of 5,000 (probably around what she’d paid for it at a store).

So long as I was there, I stayed for dinner.

4 gogi mandu + 4 kimchi mandu

The ddeok mandu guk was okay.  More about the dumplings than the soup.
