Golden Har Gow

2.0

at Salon de Hao’sum

(Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam)

-Banpo, Seocho, Seoul, Republic of Korea-

with W

Salon de Hao’sum is a Cantonese restaurant.  Specializes in dimsum and clay pots.  As the “Salon de” would suggest, it aims to be an upgraded version of Hao’sum, a casual chain with 20 locations across the country, mostly in department stores and malls.

For some reason, or perhaps no reason, the menu doesn’t offer regular hargow.

After shopping – got a Bose Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar for my bedroom, Nespresso Vertuo for my office; W, as usual, got “stupid shit” – we had dinner at the restaurant.  Low expectations, but I’ll usually opt for Cantonese where available.

Rice Noodles Rolls with Fried Shrimp (1.0): essentially raw.

Golden Har Gow is an exclusive item at Salon de Hao’sum.  Whole shrimp, wrapped in rice paper and steamed – i.e., not really hargao.

Topped with a few flecks of gold leaf – i.e., “Golden.”

Whatever.
