Bokkeum is a broad category of Korean cooking.  The name simply means “stir-fry/sauté.”  Typically involves a central ingredient, such as pork or octopus (nakji), stir-fried/sautéed with garlic, scallions, onions, seasoned with gochujang.  Often served with rice or as an anju.

The day after three of the camping crew had returned from Japan, the entire group gathered to celebrate KIT’s birthday.
