Alas, W’s third dish was her first failed effort.  The batter itself was fine.  But she poured too much into the pan and then undercooked it, leaving it pasty in the middle.  Then, in an attempt to recook it, she added too much oil, making it greasy.  While Korean cooking generally doesn’t require a lot of technique, jeon can be a bit tricky for the inexperienced cook.
