Haemul Nurungji Tang (해물 누룽지 탕) is a Korean-Chinese dish.  Consists of crispy/burnt rice (nurungji) smothered in a thick gravy (tang) containing vegetables and seafood (haemul).

In Korean parlance, “sacheon-sik” (사천식) (Sichuanese) simply means that it’s spicy.
In a pinch, this could be microwaved, but I stir-fried the toppings and deep-fried the rice, combining them on the plate

It was okayish, the chunks of squid and sea snail and mushrooms being moderately tasty.  Without deep-frying the rice to make it sizzle, the dish probably would’ve been less-than-pleasant.
