Ostensibly, the reason for this trip was to give a lecture at the university. Although I’ve resigned my position, I agreed to cover a couple lectures that I would’ve been scheduled to give, one last Friday, the other in a couple weeks. I do feel a lingering sense of responsibility to my students. Fortunately, June 12 is Independence Day in the Philippines, a national holiday; with a day of leave on Friday, I got a 4-day weekend, only 2 hours of which I spent teaching.
Junior Cho’s Korean Beef Stew is an in-flight meal by Air Asia. A wannabe galbi jjim with steamed rice and carrots.
While the flavor came respectably close, but the three chunks of beef were mostly fat, which I didn’t eat. So, the meal turned out to consist primarily of rice and carrots.
I don’t know who Junior Cho is.
