Pappardelle in Clam Sauce

Canned clams from CAL’s stash (see generally 5.364 Grilled Shrimp & Olives…), the gift that keeps on giving.

Generally, I don’t subscribe to the theory that certain pasta shapes call for certain sauces, or vice versa, except where extremes are involved.  Here, the pappardelle seemed too wide and ungainly for the relatively delicate clam-zucchini sauce.  A heavier/heartier ragu for the former, a lighter/thinner noodle for the latter.
