Sundubu Jjigae with Pork Belly

With Pulmuone’s ever-reliable soup base for sundubu jjigae (see PULMUONE).
But the addition of the pork belly, which I now realize had been sitting in the freezer just a tad too long, was a mistake. Aside from the slightly funky odor, it turned heavy what is inherently a sharp and snappy dish – reaffirms my growing conviction that certain dishes are better entirely without meat.
