Didn’t ask for the noodles, usually comes without (see for example 6.261 Chopped & Steamed Garoupa…), but turned out to be a good application of the sauce, which often goes to waste.
In any case, I’ve decided to stop ordering it chopped, as the steamed garoupa is supposed to be a highlight in a multi-course meal, and the whole fish makes for a much more dramatic, and respectful, presentation (see for example 6.232 The New Spread…).
