The color turned out okay upon cooking, I guess, though I couldn’t help but continue to think about the necrotic hue of the patty in its frozen state.  Maybe my imagination spurred by the visual memory, but the meat seemed to have a slightly off-flavor, so I stopped eating after a couple bites.
