Shiso is a leaf. Popular in Japan as an aromatic, often used as a wrap. Distinct … minty … ish … flavor. Of the same genus perilla and similar in appearance to Korean ggaetnip, yet totally different in flavor.
Not my thing. Like when you accidentally spray perfume into your mouth – that’s what it tastes like.
