The Great American Burger Joint is a burger joint. As far as I can tell, it was founded in the Philippines, currently with 2 locations. Specializes in what they refer to as a “smashed burger,” which involves pressing down on the patty while cooking.
The burger was excellent. The smashing technique succeeded in creating jagged edges around the perimeter of the patty that got crispy during the cooking. The beef itself was tasty with a clean flavor. Substantive slice of American cheese. Overly thick cut tomato and onion, wimpy sliver of lettuce, too much TBJ (“The Burger Joint?”) sauce. But solid overall.
This could be a good option for food when we watch movies in this mall (Philippine movie theaters typically don’t sell any food, and allow for food to be brought in), the food court being right next to the theater.
