8.337 Toum

Toum is a Lebanese garlic dish.  Nothing more than raw garlic + salt + lemon juice + olive oil, blitzed in a food processor to form a fluffy paste – curious how it was made before food processors.  Works as a chip dip or condiment for grilled meats.

DB’s partner, who’s Lebanese, made toum and served it with pita bread.  Stunningly good for something that tastes so simple.

This is what happens when gay men host poker night (see most recently 8.218 Hummus) – they should always host poker night.
