Spicy Smoked Oyster Canapés

My bread slicing rack arrived in the mail today, so dinner was bound to involve sliced bread.

Very proud that I haven’t purchased a loaf of sandwich bread since last July, when I began to bake my own (see for example 12.202 BLT).

In addition to the standard version (see 12.333 Smoked Oyster Dip), the smoked oysters also come spicy – the heat adding a nice counterpoint to the rich smokiness.

The canapés comprised toasted bread + oyster + sour cream + arugula + Tabasco.  Not too bad.
