I always try to put a well-balanced meal on the table, usually broken down into 3 dishes: a protein (e.g., steak) + a vegetable (e.g., salad) + a starch (e.g., pasta). More and more these days, I prefer to make everything in 1 pot, serve it on 1 plate.
