Cycle 15 – Item 48

Lunch

1.5

at The Dwight School Seoul

-Sangam, Mapo, Seoul, Republic of Korea-

with MG, YSC

As noted yesterday (see 15.047 Woosamgyeop Jjageuli), we’re running a book fair at Dwight this week, Thursday and Friday.

Every international school has an auditorium that dwarfs the one at SIS (see for comparison 14.239 Wake Spread).

Concurrently, author-illustrator Yang Sook Choi was invited to the school for an author visit.

In addition to packing ample stock of her books, we supported the visit by setting up a table for a book signing.

Her most famous book is The Name Jar.

We had lunch together, along with the school librarian, in the cafeteria.

The buffet allowed for me to opt out of items that I didn’t want to even try.

It was the least satisfactory of any cafeteria lunch that I’ve experienced among the international schools thus far.
