After the overwhelming success of my father’s 80th birthday dinner at this venue, W immediately – that very evening, before we’d even settled the bill – booked the place for her own father’s 80th birthday.

Today’s menu.

Only 1 identical dish from before – Truffle Yuk Jeon – though the burrata, pasta, steak, and rice dishes were vaguely similar.

As before, we also got to enjoy a few items not on the menu, including canapés and bread, as well as ddeokbokki and chicken tenders for the kids (again, unnecessary but always welcome).  The final courses of steak and rice were served with kimchi, which hadn’t been provided last time – I asked the what situations call for kimchi, she replied “When the customers look like they need it.”

The food was amazing, of course.

And with so many freebies and generous portions, we were stuffed silly.
