After completing our Annual Stock Take, some of us went out for a drink, at the closest place that serves draft beer.
On this third visit, I confirm for the third time that the food is “vaguely European, not French, more Italian than anything, very amateur in execution, but forgivably okayish” (see 11.292 Bistro Ryu Salad) – I am now convinced that the owner and/or chef (probably the same guy) has never been to France, never studied French cuisine, and perhaps never really even eaten it.
But interestingly, the idea has been floated to hold our year-end party there, just to shake things up – stay tuned.
