The problem with burritos in Korea is that they’re stuffed with too many fresh ingredients, like white cabbage (see for example 14.152 (“Korean-Style”) Chicken Burrito (Hold Pepperoni) (Add Cheese)) or romaine lettuce (see for example 14.313 Chicken Burrito) or iceberg lettuce + red cabbage (see for example 16.142 Chicken Burrito), and of course always with the goddamn corn. They taste more like rolled tacos.
As a Californian, I believe that burrito ingredients should be soft, such as rice and/or beans and/or cheese, plus a meat of some kind, with sour cream and/or salsa (maybe pico de gallo) and/or guacamole and/or hot sauce (see for example 16.249 Break Up Burrito). The only permissible fresh ingredient is cilantro. Every bite should be warm and squishy, not airy and crunchy. (Admittedly, I bend the rules on occasion when making burritos at home – say, by adding shredded lettuce, or corn, goddamn it – but only because I’m using the opportunity to empty out the fridge.)

Vatos gets it right.

Throughout many visits to various Vatos locations over the years, I can’t recall ever ordering a burrito (tacos are so good).
