Chipotle Beef Taco (Soft)
2.0
from Taco Carlito
at home
-Changgok, Sujeong, Seongnam, Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea-
with W and IZ
Taco Carlito is a Tex-Mex restaurant. Offers tacos and burritos. Shockingly, not a chain (as yet).

With all the bullshit coming to light on Coupang in the wake of the data breach scandal (I have directly witnessed certain unfair/illegal business practices perpetuated by the company, though I’m not currently at liberty to discuss), I shouldn’t support any part of their operations, but I find Coupang Eats too convenient to give up, as yet.
Coupang Eats (e.g., late night cheeseburgers from McDonald’s) is also why I can’t seem to lose weight, despite the “fat drug” that I’ve been taking for nearly a month.
Yes, I realize that I could use a different app but Coupang Eats is linked to W’s credit card (so it’s not even my money that I’m giving them).

The food was mostly meh. The beef in the taco was nice, but the strangely pale guacamole was bland, and the kidney beans were weird, and of course the tortilla wasn’t grilled. The so-called Mexican rice was fluffy but overloaded with cumin, which also affected the burrito. The wings were fine. Overall, everything appeared to have been conceived and executed by someone who has never experienced/learned proper Tex-Mex, as is the case in the vast majority of these taco-burrito joints proliferating across Korea.
