Our annual New Year Party (see previously 16.012 Haemul Pa Jeon).

In considering potential venues, I suddenly remembered that KIT’s restaurant is near the office, a perfect fit for our 28 staff, so we rented the place out.

1st course: tiger shrimp + mushrooms & chilies + Hanwoo chadolbagi.

With a budget of 1,600,000, inclusive of drinks, he was tasked to serve a special meal worthy of a New Year Party, including items not on the restaurant menu.

2nd course: marinated galbisal.

Duruchigi is a Korean dish.  Pork, often thinly sliced pork belly, stir-fried with kimchi and other aromatics.

3rd course: kimchi samgyeop durichigi + fried rice (in leftover sauce).

I insisted that the highlight of the meal be the Kimchi Samgyeop Duruchigi, which used to be called Ggot Kimchi Jjim (see generally 11.175 Ggot Kimchi Jjim).

4th course: strawberries & grapes + Baskin Robbins ice cream.

At the end of the evening, he asked for an additional 400,000 – Hanwoo and Baskin Robbins were more expensive than anticipated, he said.  I was drunk, and everyone seemed very happy with the food, so what the hell.
