On a recent visit to Tobongee, the owner claimed that the DPF Euljiro brand of golbaengi is sold only to restaurants (actually, it’s available on-line, but I’ve never seen it in a store), supposedly due to limited supply.  She gave me a can at cost (10,000) – just this once.

I was a bit disappointed to find that the snails looked and tasted quite different from the whitish, plain ones that I’ve seen before – described as “light and delicate and delicious, far superior to the canned golbaengi typically sold in supermarkets” (see 14.082 Golbaengi Set) – making me wonder if the latter had been scrubbed and/or blanched to give them a cleaner appearance and flavor.
