Home Renovation: Day 5

Took the day off work to check-in on the apartment, where all of the destruction is complete.  Now the rebuilding begins.

Afterwards, we went to the mall to shop for appliances and eat lunch.

LUNCH … SNACK … DINNER

The plan had been to eat at Crystal Jade (see most recently 16.251 Dried Lamian with Spring Onion Oil), but changed course upon discovering that PF Chang’s has opened a branch in the mall.

Located on the 7th floor (same as Crystal Jade).
Mostly empty at 15:06.

Happy to see new items on the menu, including something Fire Shrimp – shrimp tossed with garlic + fresh chilies + dried chilies + onions + bell peppers – which isn’t really a thing (I don’t think), but I appreciate the effort, even if half-hearted in concept and half-assed in execution.  As a lunch special, it came with steamed rice + egg drop soup – a bit over-priced at 16,800.

My least favorite thing: big chunks of onions and bell peppers.

After lunch, we looked at a few refrigerators, and I was already bored, so I went back to the restaurant for a drink and snack, while W kept at it.

By the time she was done, it was dinner time.

Overall, the food wasn’t great but good enough for a return visit (we will soon live 7.8 km from the mall).
